About my work
For several years, I have developed a technique using extra-fine acrylic pigments and hand-cut stencils made from my own drawings. Built up in successive layers, the work is created with pure paint, applied without water, allowing color to retain its full vibrancy and material intensity. The vivid palette, along with the stencil process, evokes both Matisse’s cut-outs and the luminous world of southern France, where I grew up. Layers of pigment can reach several millimeters in thickness, giving the works a strong physical presence and making glass unnecessary. Once fully dry, each piece is varnished to reveal a matte, silky surface. Because of this process, each work is marked by unique variations and exists as part of a limited edition.
